From October 22 to 25, 2024, the 2024 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition - the National Finals of the Second National Digital Computer Room Installation Skills Competition came to an end in Changsha, Hunan. The group company selected four employees to form a team to participate in the competition, among whom Dong Xingpo and Shi Feng won the third prize for individuals, and the team won the third prize for groups.
The competition was guided by the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and co-organized by the China Construction Industry Association and the China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center. The competition was screened through layers of competition in provinces and cities across the country, and finally a total of 37 teams and 148 players entered the national finals. The final assessment consists of two parts: theoretical knowledge test and practical operation skills test. Theoretical knowledge assessment accounts for 20% of the total score, and practical operation skills assessment accounts for 80% of the total score. The practical operation assessment adopts a team collaboration mode, and the competition is completed through the coordinated cooperation of two professions (jobs) of electrical equipment installers and welders (construction) as well as pipe fitters and building information modeling technicians L/S.
The group company attached great importance to this competition and selected four technical personnel, including Dong Xingpo, Shi Feng, Cao Zhanlei and Zhang Xiaoyang, to form the participating team. They also carried out a series of in-depth and meticulous preparations, focusing on professional knowledge training and simulated practical exercises, and constantly conducting repeated practical summaries to improve their adaptability and operational proficiency. In the finals, everyone had a clear division of labor and worked closely together to complete the assessment tasks of drawing identification, pipeline welding, electrical box assembly, and assembly tasks with high quality within 8 hours. After two days of fierce competition, we stood out among 37 participating teams and finally won the third prize in team and individual awards.
